Science Fair Overview
- Each 6th, 7th, and 8th grade student must participate in the school Science Fair which will be held in November- date to be determined. Final projects are due November 9th and classroom presentations will start on Monday, November 13th
- Students will be required to conduct a Scientific Experiment, which includes a testable question, a review of literature, data and variables.
- All science fair grades will be calculated in the Category of “Project”, which will count as 15% of the students’ grade in both the first and second quarter
- Each week students will complete their work online in Google classroom. The students log into their CPS email account. They then click the icon of 9 boxes in the right corner. Next they open up classroom and click into their science class. This will help keep students, and me, organized. Assignments cannot be misplaced and once it is saved and sent it cannot be lost.
- Once an experiment is approved, the student is not allowed to change their experiment without permission from both teacher and parent. If you would like to have your child change his/her question, please send me an e-mail.
